Break Cover Privacy Policy

Last updated 29 October 2026

Break Cover is free and shows ads. KH Studios LLC does not collect your personal information itself: there are no accounts, no sign-in and no server of ours that receives anything from the game. The ads come through Google AdMob, whose software in the game collects some device data to show and measure them, as described below. One purchase, Remove Ads, turns the ads off.

What the game stores

Your progress (levels completed, ratings, unlocked weapons), your settings (volumes, haptics, handedness, HUD text size, tell colour), whether you own Remove Ads, and when any ad-free time you earned ends are saved on your own device. If your device backs up app data to iCloud or Google, that backup is handled by Apple or Google under their terms. Deleting the game deletes this data.

Advertising

Break Cover uses Google AdMob (Google LLC) to show ads: a full-screen ad break between missions, never during play, and an optional video you can choose to watch for 24 hours without ad breaks. To choose, deliver and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google's ad software collects and sends to Google and its ad partners:

On iPhone, the game asks once, through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, whether apps may track you. If you choose Ask App Not to Track, the advertising identifier is not shared and the ads are not personalised with data from other companies' apps and websites. You can change this at any time in Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking. On Android, you can reset or delete your Advertising ID in your device's Google settings.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google's consent message asks for your choices before any ad loads, and ads are personalised only if you agree. AD PRIVACY in the game's settings brings the message back so you can change your choices at any time.

Google's handling of this data is set out in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google privacy policy, which also explains how to make requests about data Google holds. KH Studios LLC does not receive the data itself, only totals of ad views and revenue. We do not sell your personal information. Where a law treats ad personalisation as a "sale" or "sharing", declining tracking on your device opts you out.

Remove Ads

Remove Ads is a one-time purchase that turns off all ads, including the offer to watch one. It is processed by the App Store (or Google Play, once available there). We receive only the confirmation that you own it, never your payment details. RESTORE in the game's settings brings it back on a new device signed in to the same account. Nothing sold in Break Cover affects play.

What the game does not do

Online co-op

Online co-op for up to four players is planned for an update. When it ships, matches will be hosted by one of the players and connected through the platform's multiplayer service (Game Center on iPhone, Google Play Games on Android). That service handles invitations and player identity under Apple's or Google's policy. Other players in your match see your platform display name and your in-game actions, and nothing else. KH Studios LLC does not run match servers and does not record matches. This policy will be updated before that feature is released.

Children

Break Cover is rated for older players and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If a future version of the game changes what it does with your data, this page will change with it and the "last updated" date will move.
