Frequently asked
- How do I play?
- Tap anywhere to fire. Hold the circle in the bottom-left corner to stay in cover; swipe left, right or
up from it to peek that way, and let go to drop back. Swipe down while peeking to reload in the open.
Two-finger tap to switch to a partner. Every enemy telegraphs before it can hurt you, so watch for the
tell and duck.
- What is the clock?
- Each act starts you with 40 seconds. Clearing a wave adds 8, a headshot adds 1, and a chain of hits
without a miss adds 2 per hit from the fourth hit on. Hitting a hostage costs 5. At zero you lose a
life and the clock resets to 20. Between acts you can spend seconds on power-ups.
- Can I play with friends?
- Online co-op for up to four players, each controlling one of the four leads, is planned for an
update after launch. Solo, the three other leads are played by the game.
- Left-handed?
- Settings lets you mirror the layout so the cover zone sits bottom-right.
- Is there anything to buy inside the game?
- No consumables and nothing that affects play. Any later purchases are cosmetic only.
- The game runs slowly.
- Break Cover targets 60 fps on iPhone 13 and Pixel 7 class phones and 30 fps on older devices. Close
other apps, and let the phone cool down if it has been charging or in the sun. If it is still slow,
email us the model and we will look at it.
- Refunds
- Purchases are handled by the App Store or Google Play, so refund requests go through them:
reportaproblem.apple.com for iPhone, or the Google Play
order history for Android.
